Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes he 'fulfilled his initial remit' at Manchester United, but he recognises he failed to win a trophy and that his managerial tenure ended miserably.
Solskjaer was appointed on an interim basis after Jose Mourinho was sacked and a string of positive results saw the Norwegian given the job on a permanent basis.
United finished third in the Premier League in Solskjaer's first full season in charge.
