Sofyan Amrabat described the start to his time at Manchester United as 'difficult' after the 2-1 victory over Chelsea on Wednesday.
Amrabat joined United on a season-long loan from Fiorentina on transfer deadline day in the summer window after a late deal was agreed to strengthen Erik ten Hag's options in midfield.
United paid a €10million loan fee to Fiorentina for Amrabat and they have the option to make the deal permanent for €20million, plus a further €5million in add-ons. Amrabat spoke to MUTV after the win and he opened up on his difficult start to his time at the club, although he insisted he didn't want to make excuses for his indifferent first few months. "Everyone was disappointed after we lost [against Newcastle], but I think that was the best answer we could give," Amrabat said. "I'm happy because we won the game, which is the most important, and I tried to help the team.
