Sir Keir Starmer, the UK's new Prime Minister, delivered his first Downing Street speech as PM today. His address, delivered to huge crowds outside No 10, ran to just over 700 words - and included a nod to the 'hard work' of former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

Sir Keir, whose Labour Party swept to power overnight after a disastrous day at the polls for the Conservatives Party, said the electorate had voted for 'change, for national renewal and for a return of politics to public service'.
