Jon Moss appointed SFA VAR manager as Willie Collum looks to make Premiership tech 'less intrusive'

Jon Moss is the SFA's new VAR Tsar as the Willie Collum sets about making it "less intrusive."The video technology has been widely panned by Premiership bosses, players, pundits and fans alike since its introduction, with lengthy delays leaving match-going punters baffled and inconsistency still an issue despite whistlers getting a second look.

Now Collum, who was appointed as head of refereeing this summer, replacing Crawford Allan, has installed Moss as VAR manager in a bid to iron out the problems still plaguing it.Moss had been linked to Collum's gig, but he'll now work for the ex-ref at Hampden in the new specialised role.

It will see him responsible for VAR training and implementation. He said: "I’m really excited to work with Willie and the team to evolve the implementation of VAR in Scottish football.
