Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lynn Lopez (born July 24, 1969), also known by her nickname J.Lo, is an American actress, singer, dancer, fashion designer, producer and businesswoman. In 1991, Lopez began appearing as a Fly Girl dancer on In Living Color, where she remained a regular until she decided to pursue an acting career in 1993. For her first leading role in the 1997 Selena biopic of the same name, Lopez received a Golden Globe nomination and became the first Latin actress to earn over US$1 million for a film. She went on to star in Anaconda (1997) and Out of Sight (1998), later establishing herself as the highest-paid Latin actress in Hollywood.

Sex, drugs and sausage rolls at new art exhibition set for Ayrshire venue

Hometown boy Graham McKean is excited at the prospect of showcasing his work in his own area from next week at Irvine's Harbour Arts Centre (HAC)Themes like humour and addiction will be among those represented in the colourful exhibition, which is boldly titled Sex and Drugs and Sausage Rolls.Born in the town, Graham has a studio at the harbour front and is preparing to unveil his work next Wednesday, January 18.Graham said: “The title of this exhibition is Sex and Drugs and Sausage Rolls."It includes images and themes I have depicted over recent years.

These include humour, alcoholism, addiction, love and hope.“This will be my first solo show at the Harbour Arts Centre, which is a stone’s throw away from my own studio.”The exhibition consists of limited-edition prints, pencil drawings and a selection of original oil paintings.Graham added: "I am very pleased to have been invited by the HAC to exhibit my work.

The venue is very near my own studio, within the nearby Courtyard Studios, and it is a real pleasure for me to show locally.“Since becoming a full-time artist almost 27 years ago, I have always been a supporter of the fantastic work the HAC does for all the arts.

It has become a real creative hub within the West of Scotland for not only the visual arts but performance also.“With this exhibition I have tried to include a wide selection of images that cover the various themes I have touched on over the years and I wanted to give the viewer as varied a selection of my work as possible.”Graham’s work captures sights and scenes that many people will have experienced in their lives – including dancing, walking in the rain and fishing – with a pinch of humour added.Councillor Alan Hill, cabinet minister for communities
