A Scots painter was fined £750 for acting aggressively toward a woman he met on a dating app.Stuart Grant met the woman over the Bumble app and the pair went on a date after she travelled to Edinburgh and met him.But Grant turned nasty after they had a falling out in his flat and a row erupted.The 42-year-old shouted, swore and struggled with Lowri Astley, 31, and the police became involved.Grant appeared at the city’s sheriff court on Thursday and admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner and acting aggressively toward Lowri.Fiscal depute Klaudia Wasilewska said Grant and Lowri, from Bangor, Wales, chatted over a dating app for a couple of days before she visited the capital on a short holiday.Ms Wasilewska said the pair met up and went to a pub before going to Grant’s flat in the city’s Newington area.She said: “Shortly after their arrival, it appears there was a disagreement between them.”The court heard Lowri wanted to leave and asked Grant to order her a taxi.The prosecutor said there was a further “disagreement” when Lowri wanted Grant to accompany her to the street to catch the taxi as she didn’t know where she was.She added: “There was a struggle between them.
