Scots nursing home residents have shared their advice when it comes to finding love - and keeping it.The pensioners from Harlawhill Day Care Centre in Prestonpans were all too happy to pass on their pearls of wisdom to the younger generation ahead of Valentine's Day.
Andrew Davie, former Prestonpans Royal British Legion secretary, was more than qualified to share his advice after being married for more than 60 years.Andrew and his wife Jessie have six children, 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Still a romantic at heart, Andrew encouraged young people to "jump in with two feet" when they find that special someone. Davie Kiman, originally from Craigmillar, who has spent his whole married life with wife Nessie in Prestonpans, had some hilarious wisdom to pass down.
The Hearts fan who used to be a former runner and goalie admitted the key to love is patience. But after being married to wife Nessie for more than 60 years teased that the best advice for youngsters this Valentine’s Day is to ‘stay single’.Meanwhile, happily single 85-year-old Phyllis said you should never go to bed in an argument, adding: “You have to agree together.
