ScotRail issue travel warning ahead of Scotland's Euro 2024 qualifier at Hampden

Football fans have been issued travel advice ahead of Scotland’s Euro 2024 qualifier at Hampden Park this weekend. The men’s national team are set to host Norway on Sunday, October 19, with a 7.45pm kick off.Additional services and extra train seats are being put in place to and from Mount Florida train station by ScotRail.

Services are expected to be busier than normal, with the Christmas light switch on also taking place at George Square in Glasgow.A queuing system will be in place at Glasgow Central ahead of the match and again at Mount Florida after the final whistle.

Supporters are being asked to head back to the station as quickly as possible and to join the queue at Bolton Drive.Access between the station and Battlefield Road, and the car park at Langside College, will be restricted after the match.

Fans travelling to destinations outside the central belt when the game ends are also advised to consider their options as services wind down earlier on Sunday evenings.
