The 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown star added that alleged victims of sexual assault or harassment should be 'listened to and respected', adding that she wants comedians to 'be a team' so that everyone can 'feel safe enough' to speak up.
Sara claims she reported the allegations after a fan informed her that an unnamed male celebrity had raped her. She said speaking up against alleged assault is a 'risk' for anyone because it forces one to question 'what if I make myself unemployable?’The comedian also feared that bosses may choose keep employing the alleged rapist 'instead of the women who have complained about him'. 'I want to feel positively about it,' she said of the incident, adding that following the 'official channels' of reporting should lead to a 'sensible solution'.
She acknowledged that victims may stay silent because they are worried about 'causing a problem', but instead urged them to report any accusations.
