Singapore-based short-form video platform Viddsee, which has generated 3 billion views over the past decade with work by 5,000 creators, is moving into long-form scripted projects and micro dramas and has unveiled its first slate. “Our goal is to create compelling stories that resonate across cultures and continents, leveraging our unique strengths in content creation and storytelling,” said Viddsee founder and CEO Ho Jia Jian, describing the move into long-form content as a significant milestone in the platform’s evolution.
Topping the inaugural long-format slate is Ivy Boys, an action detective series set against the backdrop of WWII-era Korea about a group of fashionable tailors who secretly work as sleuths behind the scenes.
The project is currently in co-development with CJ ENM Hong Kong, the regional office of South Korea’s leading entertainment company CJ ENM.
The story has been developed from Web3 concepts generated by BBRC Studios, an arts, fashion and culture incubator aimed at generating NFT projects.
