Buckingham Palace has "banded together" as insiders claim the naming of Kate Middleton and King Charles as the alleged royals at the heart of the 'race row' has blown the Sussexes' feud "into another stratosphere".

Over the last few days, the Royal Family have wrestled with the repercussions of the bombshell claims made about them in Omid Scobie's new explosive book Endgame. In it, he discusses the growing rift between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and the rest of the monarchy in detail. However, the majority of the controversy has stemmed from sections about the former royal couple's 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey in which the duchess claimed that an unnamed member of the Firm had made 'racist' comments about their son Archie's skin colour before he was born.Meghan claimed that only one person made the remarks but Scobie writes in Endgame that a second royal had also allegedly made such offensive comments, the Mirror reports. However, in a shocking turn of events, a Dutch version of the book had to be pulled from shelves just hours after its release when the copies seemingly named both the royals involved as King Charles and Kate Middleton.

Mr Scobie has denied any responsibility for publishing the names which he insists were not revealed in any version of Endgame.

He has laid the blame entirely on the publisher in the Netherlands, saying: "I never submitted a book that had those names in it." However, translators for the Dutch edition have argued that Charles and Kate's names had been there in "black and white".Saskia Peeters claimed she did not add the names to the Dutch version of the book.
