At that time, she famously had a few tiffs with her fellow co-stars, including one especially volatile 2007 tussle with conservative commentator Elisabeth Hasselbeck – something she spoke more about during the podcast appearance.
She explained that she wasn’t a fan of the relationship that Hasselbeck, who appeared on the show as a permanent co-host from 2003 to 2013, had with producer Bill Geddie.“Elisabeth Hasselbeck was on there and Bill Geddie was the producer of an all-women’s talk show with supposedly a woman’s voice was a man, an old, cis, white man, Republican who was against everything that I believed in and stood for, and he loved Elisabeth Hasselbeck, and would go into her little dressing room and give her notes and talking points of the Republican press that they would release daily,” O’Donnell alleged. “She had the talking points,” the former host added.
Geddie was an executive producer on the show from its premiere in 1997 until 2014. They have since enlisted other producers.When contacted by The Post, O’Donnell’s representatives said she would have “no further comment.”O’Donnell said that she came into the show wanting to “love” Hasselbeck “no matter what” and wanted her to open up about her feelings rather than the facts when it came to talking about certain stories.
