Rosie Jones has spoken out after receiving a number of cruel comments online after her recent television appearances.The comedian, 33, who has cerebral palsy, has hit out at the ableism she has faced in recent weeks after taking part in the Royal Variety Performance and the Big Fat Quiz Of The Year.
Following the Royal Variety Performance, she shared a message to Twitter, which read: "Thank you for all of the lovely messages about The Royal Variety last night, what fun. "Less of a thanks to the not so lovely ones.
Comedy is subjective and it’s ok if I’m not your cup of tea. But please remember the difference between personal preference and downright ableism." Just a couple of weeks later, Rosie appeared on the Big Fat Quiz Of The Year, alongside fellow comedians Katherine Ryan, Jimmy Carr, and Richard Ayoade.
After this appearance, Rosie was hit with even more cruel comments, leading to her retweeting her previous statement, to which she added: "Rinse and repeat.
