Rangers starlet on transfer radar of MLS outfit and could be handed Ibrox exit chance
dailyrecord.co.ukRangers starlet Adam Devine has emerged as a potential target for MLS side Vancouver Whitecaps.The Scotland Under-21 international signed a new deal at Ibrox last year to keep him with the Light Blues until 2025 but has featured just once this season in the Viaplay Cup opening round against Morton at the start of the season.Devine’s path to the first-team has been blocked by club captain James Tavernier who plays in his natural right back role but, having initially been handed his debut by Giovanni van Bronckhorst, the versatile youngster did enjoy a run in the side at left back in the early days of Michael Beale’s tenure.
However, chances have been limited for the 20-year-old with Dujon Sterling arriving in the summer. He can also occupy both full back roles and has been preferred as back up under Philippe Clement.
Boyhood fan Devine has been living the dream at Ibrox but might be forced to consider his options in search of regular first team football.
And Record Sport can reveal he is on the radar of Vancouver Whitecaps who rate him highly. The Canadians had Richie Laryea on loan from Nottingham Forest last season and it’s a position they are looking at for next season.
