Following the shock news of Queen Margrethe of Denmark's, 83, abdication, speculation grew as to whether a decision to step away from the throne would be something King Charles would ever consider.

Speaking exclusively to OK!, Jennie explained: "The most likely reason for Queen Margrethe‘s decision is the major surgery she had on her back recently as she is clearly feeling her age. "Over the years, she has shown that she's quite a radical, modern thinking queen – having decided to take royal titles away from her second son’s children. "She is on record as saying in the past that she had no intention of abdicating, and that she regarded the job as one for life, just like our Queen.
