Prince Harry has been pictured smiling after returning to the UK to attend the WellChild Awards to celebrate the achievements and resilience of seriously ill youngsters and their families.
Harry is attending the WellChild awards ceremony in London in his role as the charity’s patron, a position he has held for more than 15 years. The duke, 40, looked relaxed as he began one of only a handful of events he now stages in the UK, following his move to America with wife Meghan Markle. The pair now have two children - Archie, five, and Lilibet, three - and reside in the celebrity enclave of Montecito in California.
In past years, Harry has been joined by wife Meghan, but travelled alone to London this time. While he is back in the UK, a meeting between Harry and his father King Charles is reportedly 'unlikely’.The King is believed to be spending time at his Balmoral home and it is thought he has not seen Harry since the duke rushed to his father’s side after Charles’s cancer diagnosis was announced in February.
Harry's visit also raises questions about whether he and his estranged brother, Prince William, will see each other. The pair did not talk to one another when they both attended the funeral of their late uncle Lord Robert Fellowes, husband of Princess Diana's sister Lady Jane Fellowes, in August.
