Body found in wooded area in search for missing Scots teen

A body has been discovered in the search for a missing teen. Jamie Lyons was reported missing from Kirkcaldy on Sunday, September 29.Officers found the body in woodlands off Oriel Road in the town on Monday at around 4.20pm.

Formal identification has yet to take place but the family 19-year-old Jamie have been informed. There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.Jamie's mum posted on social media asking friends and family to come to the woods off Oriel Road this afternoon to help with the search operation.An image from the scene shows officers standing at the woodlands, with an area taped off.
