As well as exciting day trips, the Wales family have a number of traditions whenever any of their children celebrate a birthday, including a homemade cake by the Princess of Wales.
Kate previously let slip to Dame Mary Berry that it has become a tradition for her to stay up late the night before making birthday cakes for all three of her children, and that she ends up “with ridiculous amounts of cake mix and icing”.
