Over 50,000 participants were observed for seven years, drawing on data from the UK Biobank study and Oxford WebQ questionnaire.Researchers found that eating a handful of nuts may offer a "protective role" against dementia due to the food's potential to lower cholesterol and reduce inflammation.In the GeroScience journal, researchers from the University of Castilla-La Mancha and University of Porto concluded: "The daily consumption of nuts may play a protective role in the prevention of dementia.
