A much-loved street food restaurant has issued an update following the closure of one of its sites. This morning, the founders of Bundobust, a Indian food concept specialising in vegetarian dishes and craft beer, confirmed they would be shutting their Birmingham site this weekend.
Bundobust opened in a Grade II-listed building at Bennetts Hill in June last year, but in a social media post, its founders explained that the 'consistent trade needed to stay open just hasn't been there for us'.
They described it as an announcement they had been 'dreading' but confirmed their other four sites would not be affected. The Birmingham restaurant was the company's fifth branch having first established the concept in Leeds, before expanding to Manchester and Leeds.
Manchester is home to two sites including its underground spot on Piccadilly Gardens and restaurant and in-house brewery on Oxford Road - both will remain open.
