A man wanted for murder has been arrested after he was stopped by police for acting suspiciously in Bolton town centre. Officers stopped and searched the 18-year-old male on Saturday night (October 21) after his behaviour 'raised concerns'.

They then arrested him after realising he was wanted in connection with the murder of Susanne Galvin in September of this year.

Ms Galvin, 55, died in hospital on Monday (September 18) two days after she was found unconscious at her home on Pear Avenue in Bury on the evening of September 16.

Stephen Ball, 31, also of Pear Avenue, has since been charged with murder by detectives and remains in custody.
