A boarded-up village pub which has been marked for demolition has been subjected to aggressive behaviour from yobs. Now, Cheshire Constabulary says police patrols will be stepped up in response to The Limes pub in Sandbach.

The pub has a history dating all the way back to the late 1800s, however, it shut down for good three years ago. Plans have been put in place to knock it down and make way for a 60-bed care home.

Before demolition takes place though, police have noted a series of reports of anti-social behaviour taking place at the pub, Cheshire Live reports.
