Two men have pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving over a FaceTime call after fleeing the United Kingdom. Osama Saeed, 32, and Asgar Taj, 34, were standing trial at Minshull Street Crown Court, in which both were accused of ‘racing’ with two other men before a collision on the A34 near Handforth Dean retail park.
Saeed was driving an Audi RS3 and Taj was driving a Suzuki motorbike. As a result of the collision Asad Rashid, 34, who was driving a Suzuki motorbike, sadly died. But at a further hearing today, October 18, both defendants appeared over a FaceTime call on the phone of Zarif Khan, counsel for Taj.
They both confirmed their identity and entered a guilty plea to causing death by dangerous driving. It is not known where the men are and warrants have been issued for their arrest.
