A Lanarkshire MSP says the latest A&E figures for the area are “truly terrifying”. Meghan Gallacher’s remarks come after the latest monthly A&E figures for Scotland showed only 70 per cent of patients were seen within the SNP Government’s target time of four hours in September.In Lanarkshire, 60 per cent of patients were seen within four hours.

However, at Hairmyres only 52 per cent of patients were seen within four hours. The figure is 63.8 per cent at Monklands and 64 per cent at University Hospital Wishaw.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
