Daniel Wroughton Craig (born 2 March 1968) is an English actor. Outlander's Sam Heughan would 'love' James Bond role but would have to make one major change

Outlander’s Sam Heughan has opened up on his love for James Bond as the jury remains out on who will be next to take on the iconic role.The Scots star remains one of the names tipped for taking over from Daniel Craig as 007 and he’s admitted he’d like nothing more than to “see another Scottish Bond”.

Opening up on his dreams of following in the footsteps of Sean Connery, the actor reflected in a recent interview of a previous audition he did for the epic movie franchise.

He told Metro: “It’s a great character, and I’d certainly love to see another Scottish Bond. "I auditioned for it many years ago.

I’d love to have another opportunity. I’m not sure I fit in the suit right now. I would probably have to slim down a bit but yeah, I mean, who knows?
