Out of nearly 2500 entries, 14 students have been named winners of the 50th Annual Student Academy Awards competition by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.

All Student Academy Award-winning films are eligible to compete for 2023 Oscars® in the Animated Short Film, Live Action Short Film or Documentary Short Film category.

Past winners have gone on to receive 67 Oscar® nominations and have won or shared 12 awards. Students will participate in an in-person award ceremony free and open to the public (tickets must be requested in advance) on Tuesday, October 24, at 7:30 p.m., at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.
