The 23-year-old Italian swimmer, who won the gold medal in the 100-meter backstroke, was photographed sleeping on a towel in the middle of a Paris park inside the Olympic Village. Thomas had publicly complained about the sleeping conditions inside the Olympic Village, so many felt that he was protesting the accommodations, but that isn’t true.
