Team GB cyclist Oliver Wood saw his medal hopes during the men’s Olympic Madison on Saturday dashed due to a horrific crash.

Wood was taken out by a Dutch rider who seemed to lead with his head as he collided into the 28-year-old Brit. This incident cost Team GB a podium spot, with Wood and his teammate Mark Stewart finishing in a disappointing 12th place.
