Nurse struck off for vile attempts to cover his own tracks after man's death

A nurse failed to call an ambulance for a seriously ill care home resident - and then lied about it when they died in an attempt to cover his tracks.

Agency nurse Joseph Adekunle Bankole, who was working at Lynmere Nursing Home in Stockport, had tried to 'cover up' for his failings after the incident in 2019, the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) found.

Mr Bankole had been looking after the resident, who was feeling unwell and whose health deteriorated over the course of the day on August 7, 2019.
