Top pupil sets sail for a new career as Calderglen High celebrate exam success

Scores of pupils at Calderglen High are celebrating being top of their class after achieving the exam results they were hoping for.Following a successful academic year, many pupils of the East Kilbride school achieved four As at advanced Higher to National 4 and 5 Level - and for some they were against the odds.Matilda Frew has decided to take up a graduate apprenticeship rather than go to university.The Calderglen High School pupil, who got an Advanced Higher in Mathematics (B) and Higher Administration and IT (A), had already secured unconditional acceptances at universities following last year’s 5 As as well as a qualification in Mental Health and Wellbeing.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
