The NHS has issued an important message after radio presenter Jamie Theakston announced he has been diagnosed with stage one laryngeal cancer.
The 53-year-old Heart Radio Breakfast Show host shared on his social channels a detailed statement about his condition, telling fans '"I have cancer but cancer does not have me." It comes after the radio star took to Instagram earlier this month to thank fans who noticed a change in his voice, which led to him having an operation to remove a lesion on his vocal chords.
