Rangers flop Fabio Silva has insisted he DID succeed at Rangers – and has shown it by his loan switch to Las Palmas.Big things were expected from the 22-year-old - who was Wolves' record signing for £35million four years ago - when he moved to the Scottish Premiership in January but he failed to live up to the hype under Philippe Clement as he netted just four league goals before returning to Molineux.
However, the unfazed Portugal U21 international is looking to kickstart his career in Spain with La Liga strugglers - as he attempts to shake of his mega-money price tag forked out by the English Premier League side.Speaking at his Las Palmas unveiling, he said: "I was in Scotland last year and now I'm going to La Liga.
I think I've succeeded. I've taken a step forward and I'm going to play against the best players in the world. My transfer fee is something that's in the past.
I didn't force the club to pay that amount for me. I just did my job, as I always do. I'm 22 years old and I feel like I've done things well."While Silva struggled, many fans have hoped to see Harry Souttar make a loan move to Ibrox to join brother John in the Light Blues' backline.
