Motherwell boss Stuart Kettlewell admits he was angered by his side's first half display that gave them a mountain to climb in Perth. The Steelmen produced a strong second half to claw their way back from goals by Nicky Devlin and Andy Considine in the first half to level through a Shane Blaney header and a Mika Biereth strike after the break. They might even have won it had Oli Shaw not spurned a glaring opportunity late on, but new Saints boss Craig Levein saw his side hold on for the point. As it is, Motherwell have picked up just two points from the last 24 avaialable and their run of eight games without a win leaves them eighth in the Premiership, four points off bottom side Saints and four points off the top four.Kettlewell said: "Disappointment is probably an understatement, it was sheer anger at half-time – it was anger from the players but especially myself and the staff.“We let ourselves down with two corners into our box, we don’t defend them properly.“I think the players dragged themselves in by making better decisions and being much better on the front foot.“I have to commend the players, I could sit here and continually be negative because it’s not what I want – I didn’t want to come here and get a point, I wanted to come and try to get three, as did the players and the supporters.“I think in terms of the chances we created, I think we certainly at least deserved to get out of here with a point but I hate being in that position where you are fighting against the tide and having to show that much character to try drag ourselves back into the game.”Motherwell now welcome Hearts to Fir Park on Saturday where a defeat could really start to put pressure on Kettlewell.Follow Lanarkshire Live Sport onX via@LanLiveSpo
