Motherwell took a point from their last visit to Celtic Park and conceded a “kick in the guts” last-gasp winner at Fir Park in September, so should have belief as they head to Glasgow this afternoon. That’s the view of boss Stuart Kettlewell, who hopes they can arrest a poor run of form that has seen them take just two draws from their last nine Premiership games.Kettlewell knows it will be far from easy as they head into the cauldron of Celtic Park, but says they must do so with confidence.“They’ve changed their manager between the two games, one that was a point at Celtic Park and one that probably could and should have been, here, be it not for the last kick of the ball,” he said.“But we take massive confidence from that, and we have to.

I do as a manager, I know the coaching staff do, but the players have to believe they can be very competitive in that game, like they’ve shown in the two opportunities that we’ve had against such a good side, with top-class players, international players.“I suppose Celtic will argue that they have their own challenges, with the amount of international players they have, and some of these guys coming back a bit later, etc.“But we have to focus on what we think is right for us, and what we feel the best game-plan would be.“I think we have something that shows that we have been really competitive and really good in both games against them ,and we have to try and see if we can emulate that.”Kettlewell added: “To play against Celtic, to try and be successful and try to make it difficult for them, and to try and get a result, I think you have to work a certain way.“That’s something that we’ve looked at this week.
