Thunderstorms could hit Greater Manchester at the weekend. The Met Office has said that light rain showers could turn to thunder by late Saturday morning.

Saturday will still feel quite muggy, with temperatures reaching 18C. But the weather will be much more unsettled compared to how it has been this week.

Thunderstorms and rain showers are likely to be intermittent throughout most of Saturday's daylight hours, until around 9pm, the Met Office has forecast.
