Martin Kemp breaks down in tears as son Roman signs off final Capital show

Martin and Shirlie Kemp became emotional as they joined their son Roman on his final Capital Breakfast show.The Kemp family surprised Roman by joining him in the studio, sharing how proud they are of him.

Former Spandau Ballet star Martin, 62, became tearful as he spoke about how his son started working at Capital. He emotionally said: "I remember being at home just after you did a tester tape for Capital just before you did your own show. "The telephone rang and Ro listens for a while and then goes 'they want me to do my own show' and I said 'no call them back they've got it wrong.'" He continued: "No but seriously this whole show has turned Ro from a really silly young kid to a really silly young adult." Prior to Roman's famous family joining him the studio, he had shared an emotional message to listeners, as he said: "I know that there is a lot of people listening right now, and I wanted to take the time to say thank you.
