Jamie McKim is demanding more from everyone involved with Johnstone Burgh after a stinging home defeat to Bonnyton Thistle.

The Keanie Park boss insists his side created enough chances on the pitch to win two or three games.But after squandering them all, the hosts ended up on the end of a painful defeat after Thistle netted a late winner to escape Renfrewshire with all three points.McKim is adamant the entire club needs to move up a gear in 2023 as he aims to keep them progressing in both domestic and cup competitions.He told Renfrewshire Live Sport: “It was such a frustrating afternoon against Bonnyton.“I’m not saying they didn’t deserve to win it, but we created enough chances to win two or three games, not just one.“With the standard of player we have up front, we should have been putting two or three of those away and picking up an important win.“At the end of the day the preparation wasn’t right on and off the pitch and it’s time for us to decide where we want to be as a club.“Do we want to be mediocre and not progress, or do we want to be ambitious and challenging at the top end of the table.“Across the whole club we need to be more professional from the top to the bottom.

Last year was very successful for us, but we will never settle for where we are.“We want to push on and to do so we all need to be fully committed to the cause; committee members, players, coaches, everyone.“I guarantee for the rest of the season I will be asking and demanding everything from everyone at the club.“I think we can get an extra 10 or 15 per cent out of everyone involved, myself included.
