Man, 41, dies after horror accident at Greater Manchester business

A man has died after an 'accident involving machinery' in Oldham. The tragedy happened at a business on Overens Street on the outskirts of the town centre on Wednesday morning (November 29).

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said they were called to the premises, which hasn't been named, shortly before 10am and found a 41-year-old man seriously injured.

He was sadly declared dead at the scene. Police say they are not treating it as suspicious. An investigation involving the police and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is now underway. "A 41-year-old man was found with serious injuries, and sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police are not treating the incident as suspicious at this stage. "A joint investigation between GMP Oldham CID and the Health and Safety Executive has been launched to make enquiries into the circumstances that led to the man’s death."
