Work to transform a historic warehouse behind Piccadilly Station into a series of ‘creative workspaces’ is getting underway in a matter of weeks.

The £7m plans for Neptune Mill in Piccadilly East – green lit by Manchester City Council earlier this year – have received funding support and construction will start next month, developers Capital&Centric have announced.

Workspaces within the Grade II listed mill are expected to be ready by late summer and early expressions of interest from businesses and café-bar operators wanting to take space in the development are now open. Work will include exposing the mill’s original features, such as stripping the building back to reveal its red brickwork and timber beams.
