A 12-year sentence for the 123mph boy racer who killed a mum and her unborn child has been met with fury by Manchester Evening News readers.
Adil Iqbal, 22, was told he would serve two-thirds of the sentence by Judge Maurice Greene today (July 19). Iqbal filmed himself driving at reckless speeds before hitting Frankie Jules-Hough, from Chadderton, who had stopped on the hard shoulder of the M66 near Bury after noticing she had a flat tyre.
The 38-year-old's son Tommy, nine, and nephew Tobias, four, were also 'very seriously injured'. Minshull Street Crown Court heard Iqbal had filmed himself driving at speeds of up to 123mph while behind the wheel of a BMW M140i on May 13.
At the time of the crash, he was travelling at 92mph.
