Lyndon Dykes set his sights on firing QPR back into the Premier League after penning a new three-year deal at Loftus Road. And the Scotland hitman has vowed to use the no fear attitude that’s rocketed Steve Clarke’s troops to the top of their World Cup qualifying group and downed Spain on the way to help the Londoners get there.

Dykes ended months of speculation that had seen him linked with Rangers among other clubs by penning a new deal through to 2026 with the Championship side. And the 27-year-old, who took his Scotland tally to nine goals against Norway last week, insists his best is yet to come.

He said: “When I got the call about extending my stay here it was a no brainer. It’s somewhere I want to stay, you look at the new training ground and the club’s going in a direction I want to go.“Last year was a tough year but it’s behind us.

Going forward, the manager coming in and having the pre-season with the full squad together it’s the direction we all want to be going in.“The new training facilities are Premier League standard and from talking to people above that’s were they want to go.
