Louise Thompson shares snap from hospital bed as she reveals she was losing 'cups of blood' on holiday

Louise Thompson took to Instagram to share a picture of herself in a hospital gown as she updated her fans on her health battle.

In a long post, she explained she had pushed through to enjoy a holiday in Antigua with partner Ryan Libbey and their son. However she knew she was "really sick" and couldn't pretend she was okay any longer.

Louise - who has now returned home - posted on Instagram: "Bit of an unexpected turn of events, but gotta bridge the gap somewhere, so let’s start with some good news - I’m home after two and a bit weeks spent in hospital AND I’m feeling v grateful for home and for life. ⁣ "A quick blast recap as my brain is too tangled for full sentences, but hoping this might save some time in the long run.." Louise went on to list what had taken place as she flew to Antigua and "plastered myself in makeup" to hide how ill she felt. "Used up every iota of energy I could pretending I was going to be ok," she continued. "But deep down inside I knew I was really sick . "I wanted the best for Leo and my family and memories.

Holiday had been in the pipeline for yonks." Louise continued: "⁣Had many exciting campaigns lined up and the announcement of one of the biggest and most transformative healing (and career) moments of my life : the announcement of my book, and other positive things to cling onto mentally.
