Loch Lomond Waterski Club makes daring cheque handover

Loch Lomond Waterski Club carried out a daring cheque handover to the Loch Lomond Rescue Boat.Club member Audrey Steele handed a cheque for £1,838 to members of the life saving boat’s crew as she skied on Loch Lomond last week.

Money was raised through the club’s ever popular New Year’s fancy dress event, which sees participants take to the water in a range of costumes - from Santa to superheroes.Since its formation in 1977 the Loch Lomond Rescue Boat has been based in Luss, and volunteer crews attend more than 70 call-outs every year.Last year the crew revealed plans to move to Balloch to be more easily accessible when called out during the busy summer season.
