Lidl, Asda and Sainsbury's issue food recalls as shoppers warned 'do not eat'

Shoppers are being urged to check their cupboards for a variety of food products that have been pulled from store shelves following health and safety concerns.

Numerous major UK supermarkets, such as Asda, Lidl and Sainsbury's, have recently had to issue "do not eat" warnings on product including chocolate, cheese, ready meals and popcorn, reports the Mirror.

The recalls were issued by the Food Standards Agency (FSA) for a number of reasons, including the presence of plastic, salmonella and unlabelled ingredients, all of which could be harmful if consumed.The latest recall affects Lidl's Fin Carré Milk Chocolate with Hazelnuts, Asda's OMV!

Mac ‘N’ No Cheese, and Sainsbury’s Mexican Style Chilli Cheddar. It also impacts Grape Tree Toffee Popcorn.Shoppers are being urged to check if they have any of the affected products below and to return them to store immediately, where they will be issued with a full refund.
