Leaky East Kilbride Thistle fight back again to stay unbeaten

East Kilbride Thistle boss Aaron Connolly will strive to work out why his side fought out a second high-scoring draw in seven days – but says at least they’re unbeaten in the West of Scotland Fourth Division.Jags fought back four times to draw 4-4 at BSC Glasgow on Saturday, having drawn 5-5 with Newmains United the week before.But a 2-0 home win over Easterhouse in midweek has left them with five points from three games, and Connolly says that provides a consistency that hasn’t been seen for years.Jags needed a last-gasp equaliser at Newmains the previous week, and history repeated itself when Andrew Mooney struck once again to earn the point, following goals from Michael Blues, Dino Molinari and Mitchell Rooney.Connolly said: “I’m actually disappointed with our performance on Saturday, to be honest.“We can dress it up and look at the positives, and to score four goals away from home, and to come back again late in the game, having been behind is good.“I think we were behind every time, so again we showed great resilience, character and desire to get something from the match.“But I think we come away overall disappointed with our performance, which leaves a bad taste at the moment.“I think we need to go away and work on things, and look at how we can improve that aspect of it.“What I absolutely can’t knock from the players is that desire to get something from the game, and the way that we played going forward at times was good to watch.“But overall I thought the performance was disappointing.“The big thing about that is that we’re three games in and unbeaten, so that’s showing a level of consistency that we’ve probably not had for quite a while.“We have to try and build on that, now, and learn from some of the mistakes
