Larry the Cat, the beloved official mouse catcher of Downing Street, might find his territory challenged by Sir Keir Starmer's family cat JoJo when he moves into Number 10, according to an expert.

It comes as Labour goes into government for the first time in 14 years, meaning it will be Larry's first encounter with this political party.

The loveable Larry, aged 17 and a seasoned political companion, has outlasted numerous UK leaders, making the corridors of power his home.Throughout his tenure, he's witnessed the comings and goings of prime ministers and their pets, including Rishi Sunak's Labrador, Nova.

But now, an expert warns that Larry could face some stiff competition from JoJo.
