Lanarkshire angling club hooks £1000 donation from house-builder to fund fish restock in loch

Gartcosh Angling Club hooked a welcome £1000 donation from Persimmon West Scotland as part of the group’s fundraising for a fish restock of Johnstone Loch.

The Lanarkshire club began fishing for fundraising for a restock after an investigation last year revealed a lack of livestock living in the water.

The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) subsequently confirmed that pollution had impacted the number of fish in the loch following the last restocking, which had cost the club more than £12,000.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
