Controversy over Netflix‘s Queen Cleopatra seems to have affected its’ audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Part of the African Queens documentary series, the show centered on the infamous Egyptian royal, and re-assessed her fascinating story, her political brilliance, as well as questions surrounding her heritage, which remains the subject of debate.

Just four days following the debut on the streamer, Queen Cleopatra has been given just a 1% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

While that’s not necessarily a rare occurrence, it is important to note that the fans are agreeing with critics on the show. Keep reading to find out more… Forbes reported that this is the lowest score possibly ever documented. “Fans usually rate things higher than critics, even bad shows, and the point being, a 1% audience score seems borderline mathematically impossible, even with the controversy the film has attracted,” the outlet says.
