Motherwell boss Stuart Kettlewell says Liam Kelly did himself proud on his Scotland debut in Tuesday’s 4-1 defeat in France.With both sides already qualified for Euro 2024, Kelly and Hearts’ Zander Clark were each given a half against the World Cup finalists, with Liam conceding three goals in the first 45, including a penalty scored by PSG hero Kylian Mbappe.Kettlewell says neither keeper had a chance of saving any of the goals France scored, but Kelly will have been annoyed at getting a finger-tip to Mbappe’s penalty.He said: “It’s an honour to be a part of the national set-up, of course it is, but I think it was a wonderful gesture, a really good gesture from Steve Clarke.“I don’t think it was a token gesture either, I think he acknowledges that he has two really good goalkeepers in Zander Clark and Liam Kelly.“To give them the opportunity to play at that level and experience what it’s like to go out on the field and not just be that sort of back-up, then I think that’s the type of experience that they will remember for a long, long time.“Now they’ve had a taste of it they’ll want more, of course, it’s not just to turn up and make up the numbers and almost a testimonial feel.“It’s a serious game against arguably one of the best sides in the world, against some of the top players in the world, and I’m fairly certain that Liam is going to come back a better goalkeeper and a better person for that.“I think when you expose yourself to that, it can only ever be a good thing.“If we look at the goals he conceded, at the specifics of the ball hitting the back of the next, I don’t think he can do anything about any of the three goals he concedes, and Zander’s the same with the fourth one as well.“Knowing Liam, getting the
