However, one ardent Royal fan decided to seize the moment during her meeting with King Charles on Tuesday - she cheekily requested a kiss from His Majesty during his walkabout in Guernsey.The surprising incident occurred on July 16, as King Charles, 75, and Queen Camilla, 76, were continuing their two-day visit to the Channel Islands to engage with the locals.
The day began as scheduled with a trip to St. Peter Port seafront, followed by King Charles presiding over a brief special session of the States of Deliberation (Guernsey's Parliament).After fulfilling his official responsibilities, the King went out to meet the numerous fans who had gathered to welcome him.
But it was Kathleen Moriarty, a sprightly 91 year old, who made the visit truly unforgettable when she boldly asked the monarch for a kiss.
